Kawara-machi-oike Nakagyo-ku
Central KyotoKyoto, Japan
One of Japanese favorite hotels in Kyoto.
There's an hotel entrance directly from the subway station it sits above, also conveniently located to explore the city via walking and bus.
If you have a stay plan with Breakfast buffet, it is delicious. There is a choice of western or Japanese-style.
The rooms are immaculate and would have all possible amenities.
Free internet would be very useful, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Michelin guide awarded as the best hotel in Kyoto.

Set close to Kyoto’s Imperial gardens, this hotel is a perfect description of what Japan is: modern, welcoming, and beautiful.
Each room is designed and decollated by a different designer and wonderfully done, impeccably clean, and include nice touches like Nespresso machines and Bose sound systems.
The rooms are also fairly large by Japanese standards. Relax yourselves in a huge jacuzzi bathtub after a long day of walking.
Higashi Shiokojicho, Shimogyo-ku | JR Kyoto Station Karasuma-Central Entrance, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture 600-8216
The science fiction-like complex which is attached to the Granvia (the "Cube") is just amazing.
The Kyoto main station area where the hotel sets is modern and a range of way-out architecture and most of all, you will feel safe as a kitten.
The escalator patterns amuses the eyes, not least an outdoor concert space high above the hotel concourse.
The rooms are modern and well equipped and roomy. Very good service.
Karasuma Sanjyo Minami Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto,
Kyoto Prefecture 604-8161, Japan
The hotel is located close to many attractions. The lively shopping area of Shijo-dori is blocks away which is wonderful for exploring. The price is also reasonable for a hotel in the luxury category.
There is a concierge desk and all staffs are polite, gracious, and willing to help.
Rooms are reasonably sized by Japan standards, immaculately clean and stylish with full security.
52 Kasaboko-cho, Shijo-dori Aburanokoji Higashi-iru, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture 600-8494, Japan
This hotel is located just outside the main shopping strip of Kyoto (Shijo dori) and has excellent bus access to the rest of the city.
The hotel is opened Mar 2008 so everything still new.
Rooms are rather small (standard Japanese) but well laid out and has nice features such as kettle (and nice green tea), air purifier, trouser press, flat-screen TV (no English channels), fridge, bathrobes and slippers. One PC with free internet in the lobby.
It’s a great hotel at such a reasonable price and good facilities.
