Antiquities from Egypt, about 55,000 findings constitute the most important exhibition after that of Cairo, the public is undoubtedly attracted by the magnificence and the imposingness of these testimonials.
The two wings: Sully is at the ground floor and the first floor houses the Pharaoh Egypt and the Denon. The mezzanine floor houses the Roman and Coptic Egypt – the sections most visited by children who are fascinated by mummies, by the colors of the paints and the tools of everyday life.
Sully Wing - The collection devoted to Pharaonic Egypt was divided into two paths: the thematic one is on the ground floor, in the rooms ranging from 1 to 19 where the cardinal aspects of daily life and culture of Egypt are documented, and the chronological one is on the first floor, in the rooms ranging from 20 to 30 where historical periods and the progress of Egyptian art are presented.
