This cave also known as Maharwada Cave was used as a shelter during the monsoons by the Mahar tribal people. This cave is located at the center of a 36 meter long grand assembly hall. There are two rows of benches exquisitely carved here that show that probably this hall was used as a refectory. Buddha seated on a stool here is in the Earth Witness gesture, which means his right hand is touching the ground.
